htbj Launch Offer - Terms & Conditions

To celebrate our launch, htbj technologies will build one business's app idea for free: a full Foundation Build. Applications close at 11:59 pm AEDT on Saturday 31 October 2026, and we'll choose the best idea on its merits. You can apply for your own business, or nominate a small business you know that's stuck on spreadsheets and admin.

1. Promoter and promotion period

1. The promoter is htbj technologies, the registered business name of Henry Thomas Bryden Jones, a sole trader based in Victoria, Australia. ABN 17 679 659 718. Contact: henry.jones@htbjtech.com ("htbj", "we", "us").
2. The promotion is called the htbj Launch Offer.
3. It runs from 9 October 2026 until 11:59 pm AEDT on 31 October 2026 (the Promotion Period). Applications received after the Promotion Period won't be considered.
4. By applying, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can apply and how

1. The offer is open to businesses operating in Australia. The person applying must be 18 or older and authorised to act for the business.
2. htbj's immediate family members, and businesses they own or manage, can't apply or be nominated.
3. To apply, complete the Launch Offer form at htbjtech.com/launch with your name, email, phone number, business name and your app idea.
4. Nominating a business you know. You can also use the form to nominate another small business, by giving its name, a contact at the business, and the problem you think an app could solve. Only nominate a business you reasonably believe would be happy for us to contact it.
5. If a nominated business is shortlisted, we'll contact it directly. It must confirm it wants to take part, and be eligible, before it can be selected. The prize goes to the business, not the person who nominated it.
6. Each business can be entered once, whether it applies itself or is nominated. If a business is entered more than once, we'll consider all the ideas together as one entry.
7. Applying or nominating is free, and you don't need to buy anything to enter.
8. Entries must not be offensive, unlawful or infringe anyone else's rights. We may exclude an entry that breaks these terms.

3. How the selected idea is chosen

1. This is a game of skill, not chance. Henry Jones, on behalf of htbj, will personally review every eligible application and choose one. There is no random draw.
2. We will judge applications on:
   • Problem: how clearly the idea describes a real, recurring problem in the business
   • Impact: how much time, money or hassle the app would save
   • Fit: how well the idea can be built within a Foundation Build (up to 40 hours)
3. Judging will take place in Melbourne, Victoria, by 7 November 2026. Our decision is final, and we won't enter into correspondence about it.
4. We'll notify the selected applicant by email and phone by 7 November 2026. They must confirm acceptance within 7 days. If they don't, or aren't eligible, we'll choose the next best application using the same criteria.
5. We'll email every other applicant to let them know the outcome.
6. If we don't receive any application that can reasonably be built within the prize, we may extend the Promotion Period. We'll announce any extension on htbjtech.com.

4. The prize

There is one prize: one Foundation Build, designed and built by htbj at no charge.

1. The selected applicant and htbj will agree a written Proposal setting out the scope. It must be signed within 14 days of acceptance, and the build will start within 30 days of signing.
2. Our standard Terms & Conditions apply to the build, except that no build fee is charged. The late payment and refund clauses therefore don't apply to the prize.
3. The prize can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash.
4. If the agreed scope can't be delivered because of something outside our reasonable control, we'll work with you on a fair alternative within the same hours.
5. Any tax consequences of receiving the prize are the responsibility of the recipient. We recommend getting your own advice.

5. Your idea, your privacy and publicity

1. You keep ownership of your idea. We'll only use your application to run this promotion, and we won't share it outside htbj.
2. We build similar tools for many businesses. Submitting an idea doesn't stop us building similar software for others, and we won't use your business details or confidential information to do it.
3. We collect your name, email, phone, business name and app idea to run the promotion. If you nominate a business, we collect the contact details you give us for it, and we'll tell that business who nominated it unless you ask us not to. We'll handle them under our Privacy Policy. We'll only send you marketing about htbj if you tick the optional updates box on the form, and every message will include a way to opt out.
4. We'll only publish the selected applicant's name, business name or app details with their written permission. If they agree, we may announce the selected idea on our website, Instagram and LinkedIn.

6. General

1. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Meta or LinkedIn. By taking part, you release those platforms from any liability connected with it.
2. If the promotion is disrupted by something outside our reasonable control, such as a technical failure or fraud, we may change, suspend or end it, subject to any direction from a relevant authority. We'll announce any change on htbjtech.com.
3. As far as the law allows, htbj isn't liable for any loss arising from taking part in this promotion, except for liability that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
